Coues Agave
40x30”
Oil on linen
This work is one my favorites. These two agaves had very different stages of life and that is what I wanted to capture. The changes not only in hue but the shades and tints. What I observed in this plant is the healthy young agave had little spots of white highlights while those same spots turned black in its next stage of life. There is hints of death in the healthy agave as some warm hues peak through. I found this agave while biking in Sedona Arizona and I knew immediately that I wanted to paint it. I was happy to have my camera to document it.
Safe Shipping within the U.S
I ship through fedex and I package it myself for safety assurance. I keep the canvas mounted so it will arrive in a large flat box. I wrap up the painting really well so it’s protected. I pay for majority of this shipping cost, the $25 fee you will see in checkout is just for some of the packaging.
